Quotes and currency
Unless stated otherwise, Canadian services are quoted in Canadian dollars. A quote applies only to the itinerary, vehicle class, passenger load, date and timing supplied and remains subject to its stated validity period.
Material changes can require repricing. Prices shown before the rate system is activated are not binding unless issued in a written quote by the transportation team.
What the price may include
- Base transportation or booked hourly time.
- Applicable federal and provincial sales taxes.
- Gratuity or service charge when expressly stated.
- Airport, port, parking, toll, ferry, border, venue or road fees where applicable.
- Waiting, overtime, extra stops, cleaning, damage or special-equipment charges when triggered by the confirmed terms.
Taxes and gratuity
Applicable taxes are collected according to the service, supplier and place of supply. The quote or receipt should distinguish tax where the booking system supports it.
Gratuity is included only when the quote or confirmation says it is included. If it is not shown, any voluntary tip is at the passenger’s discretion, subject to the assigned operator’s payment options. A mandatory service charge is not described as optional gratuity.
Payment and authorization
A valid payment method or other approved billing arrangement may be required to confirm transportation. The payer authorizes charges for the accepted booking and any additional amount properly incurred under the confirmation and policies.
Business invoice or direct-bill arrangements require prior approval. A quote, inquiry or company name alone does not create credit terms.
Additional charges
Additional charges may result from passenger-requested changes, unplanned stops, waiting, overtime, parking, tolls, cleaning beyond ordinary use, damage, smoking or other costs described in the accepted terms. Supporting details will be provided where reasonably available.
Dispute an unfamiliar charge promptly with the booking reference and specific reason. Starting a payment-card dispute does not remove valid contractual obligations.
Refunds
Refund eligibility follows the cancellation policy, the trip confirmation and applicable law. Used transportation, no-shows, late cancellations and committed third-party costs may be non-refundable.
An approved refund is normally returned to the original payment method. The processing provider and card issuer control when it appears. Currency conversion and foreign-card charges imposed by a bank are not controlled by ChauffeurServices.ca.
