An airport pickup starts before the aircraft lands

A Vancouver airport limo service should connect the flight to the complete ground itinerary. The useful details are the airline, flight number, arrival origin, passenger contact, luggage and final address. Without them, even a polished vehicle cannot solve the practical part of the pickup.

Vancouver International Airport serves domestic, U.S. and international travellers through different arrival paths. Customs, immigration and baggage collection can change when a passenger is ready to leave the terminal. That is why a YVR chauffeur reservation should use the flight information and clear meeting instructions instead of relying only on the scheduled landing time.

Choose by journey

Arrival, departure or direct connection?

The route and flight direction determine what the booking needs. A short hotel transfer and a winter trip to Whistler should not be planned as the same product.

01

Arriving at YVR

Add the airline and flight number so the pickup plan can reflect the arrival rather than only a fixed clock time.

02

Departing from YVR

Work backward from the airline’s check-in guidance, baggage needs and the drive from the confirmed pickup address.

03

Cruise connections

Arrange direct transportation between the airport, a downtown hotel and Canada Place with passengers and luggage reviewed together.

04

Regional transfers

Continue privately from the terminal to Whistler or another confirmed destination without changing vehicles in the city.

YVR arrival process

One confirmed plan from flight to vehicle

The pickup becomes clearer when the passenger and booker know what happens after landing. Share a working mobile number and keep the reservation details available until everyone has connected.

Domestic and international arrivals

Know which exit and pickup instructions apply

YVR’s public pickup locations can change, and authorized chauffeured vehicles may use a different area. Always follow the instructions issued with the confirmed reservation.

View current YVR pickup guidance
01

Domestic arrivals

YVR currently directs public passenger pickup to Door 24 on Level 1 at the Airport Services Plaza. Your confirmed chauffeur meeting instructions may identify an authorized pickup point instead.

02

International and U.S. arrivals

Current public guidance directs arriving passengers through Door 17 and across two crosswalks. Clear customs and collect every checked bag before proceeding to the confirmed meeting place.

03

Inside-terminal greeting

When an inside greeting is included with the reservation, the confirmation should state the terminal area, passenger name and contact method. Curb rules do not allow unattended vehicles.

04

Pickup communication

Keep the passenger’s mobile number on the reservation. If someone else booked the trip, identify which person should receive arrival and meeting updates.

City, cruise and business connections

Continue from YVR without rebuilding the trip

An airport reservation can end at a downtown hotel, Canada Place, a conference venue, a private residence or a regional destination. Include every stop in the original request so timing and vehicle capacity can be reviewed together.

Choose the vehicle after counting the luggage

Airport capacity is not based on seats alone. Checked suitcases, carry-ons, strollers, child seats, skis and golf clubs all use space. Select a class with enough room for the actual load rather than placing every passenger into the smallest possible vehicle.

  • Executive sedan for lighter individual or couple travel
  • Luxury SUV for more luggage or regional comfort
  • Executive van for groups and larger combined loads
  • Comparable models may vary by local availability

Return transportation to YVR

Work backward from the flight, not the pickup address

A departure booking needs more than an estimated drive time. Allow for the airline’s check-in rules, baggage drop, security or U.S. preclearance, the time of day and any bridge or event traffic on the route.

Check YVR travel planning
Domestic flight

YVR currently recommends reaching the terminal at least two hours before departure.

U.S. or international flight

YVR currently recommends arriving at least three hours before departure.

Airline instructions can require more time. Add the ground-travel allowance separately.
YVR booking questions

Settle the details before the travel day

Clear answers reduce confusion at the terminal and prevent choosing a vehicle that cannot fit the trip.
